About
Nilufar Zaifi (she/her) is an Iranian-American actor, photographer, and theatrical teaching artist. She completed her BA in Drama at the University of Arkansas before hopping the pond over to England where she received her MFA in Acting with Merit from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She is passionate about stories which deliver diverse and nuanced perspectives for audiences, and has a particular interest in exploring how classical training can be utilized to adapt to the evolving demands of what it means to make theatre today.
While in the UK, Nilufar was in the founding cohort of Lading Leadies, a West Midlands based collective of women in theatre and film who collaborate through regular organized meetings, workshops, staged-readings, and industry showcases. Upon return to the US, she completed the Paul A. Kaplan Theatre Managment Program at Manhattan Theatre Club where she worked in the Literary Department.
Currently, she is working to expand her teaching artist experience through the creation of a series of acting skills workshops designed for collegiate actors.
