About

Nilufar Zaifi (she/her) is an Iranian-American actor and theatre artist based in New York City. She completed her BA in Drama at the University of Arkansas before hopping the pond to England where she received her MFA in Acting from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She is passionate about diverse stories that engage and challenge today’s audiences, with a particular interest in exploring how classical training can be used to interact with the evolving demands of modern theatre, as artists push for more inclusive work.

Nilufar was a founding member of Lading Leadies, a Midlands (UK) based collective of diverse actors collaborating through regular organized meetings, workshops, play-readings, and an annual industry showcase. She also has recently completed the Paul A Kaplan Theatre Managment program at Manhattan Theatre Club where she was the Literary Department intern.

Outside of her love for the performing arts, Nilufar is a portrait photographer, cat mom, and language enthusiast.

Keep up with her on Instagram at @nilufarzaifi or at @zaificreative for her photography work.
